James Mackintosh is the FT's comment editor, a post he took up in 2009 after 14 years spent reporting for the paper. As a reporter he covered the motor industry, banking, hedge funds, UK politics, Paris, personal finance and the internet.

Caroline Daniel was appointed assistant editor and comment and analysis editor in 2009. From 2007 to 2009 she was comment editor. Prior to that she was based in the US for the FT for five years, including two years as White House correspondent.

Lorien Kite is deputy comment editor, a post he took up in 2009 after four years as a commissioning editor on the analysis page. He joined the FT in 2000.

Ian Holdsworth became assistant features editor in 2009 and was previously chief production journalist for the features pages.

Alexandra Stevenson is the the 2009 winner of the Sander Thoenes Prize. Prior to the FT, she covered Chinese politics, business and culture as a print and broadcast journalist in Beijing.

Kiran Stacey is a reporter and a member of the comment team after postings in New York and covering UK retailers. He joined the FT in 2008.
