The last few days have seen a definite recovery in risk assets, especially in equities which rose by 4.8 per cent last week. Because of this latest rebound, the half year ended on Thursday with all the major asset classes up so far in 2011, albeit not by much. Global equities (in domestic currencies) rose by 3.3 per cent during the half year, while global bonds were up 1.5 per cent.
