I’m in reflective mood for what will be my last blog as I’ve now finished my MBA at Strathclyde Business School. In what feels like the blink of an eye, a year has passed.
Over the summer I’ve been completing the last leg of the MBA: a project to develop a business model for a technology start-up. I’m now keeping my fingers crossed that the plan receives the approval of the board.
Life at IMD has changed for the past couple of weeks. No more lectures, case studies or assignments. There are also less people walking around and the restaurant feels empty.
No need to worry. There are no strikes in Switzerland. It is just that many students are away in places such as Sao Paolo, Shanghai, Finland or India, for their international consulting projects.
As I prepare to return to classes I have been working to complete all the last minute details so that I am fresh and ready to go. Since I have been fortunate to have the last month free in between my internship and the start of the new trimester I have been focusing on my job search, including which employers to target and which job fairs to attend in the fall.
