An F-16 fighter jet from South Korea‘s air force flies over Seoul Air Base during the 65th anniversary of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces Day on Friday. This year’s event opened with 11,000 troops, about 190 armed vehicles and about 120 military aircraft.

Parachuters in southern Seoul practising for a show on Armed Forces Day. The government designated October 1 as the Armed Forces Day to commemorate the date in 1950 when United Nations troops pushed back North Koreans past the 38th parallel that bisects the Korean Peninsula since then, the Yonhap news agency reported.
