The Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis, shine over Derwentwater, near Keswick in the Lake District. The spectacular display was seen further south than usual after a recent geomagnetic storm.

Spring weather April 16th 2015...The aurora borealis, or the northern lights as they are commonly known, takes place over the Bathing House in Howick, Northumberland, in the early hours of this morning.
