The death toll from a powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck south-western Pakistan on 24 September climbed to a total of so far 355 people with hundreds injured. A high number of causalities occured in the Awaran district of Balochistan province, which was the epicentre. The quake struck south and south-western Pakistan on 24 September afternoon and was felt as far away as the Indian capital New Delhi.

A girl affected by the Pakistan earthquake drinks water from a community tap in Awaran, Balochistan province. The death toll from the 7.7 magnitude earthquake in the southwest of the country on September 24 climbed to 355 people with hundreds injured. Awaran was the epicentre of the quake which was felt as far away as New Delhi, the Indian capital.
