Victorian Reservoir Opens As Part Of Heritage Open Month...LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND - SEPTEMBER 02:  Joey Ellison, Chairman of Dingle 2000, the trustee organisation for the Toxteth Reservoir, poses inside Toxteth Reservoir on September 2, 2013 in Liverpool, England. The interior of the magnificent example of Victorian architecture and engineering will be open to the public for viewing on Friday 6 September from 10am - 4pm as part of Heritage Open Month. The covered reservoir houses stunning internal brickwork and a roof supported by cast iron columns of curved bricked arches. The building which supplied fresh water to the people of Toxteth is one of the earliest examples of public health engineering in the world.
