Spain's 70 Million Euro Ghost Highway Remains Abandoned In Madrid

The MP-203 highway, which was built to decongest the Barcelona highway (A-2), has remained unfinished for six years after an initial investment of €70m between 2005 and 2007. Despite the completion of about 70 per cent of the 12.5km project it was stopped after issues arose with the Madrid-Barcelona highspeed railway and the connection to the R-3 highway.
