Rio de Paz activists wrap a mannequin in a veil during a protest on Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday to press for action on missing persons. Among the missing is a 42-year-old father of six who was picked up for police questioning on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking, but was released shortly thereafter. The bricklayer has not been seen since. Rio de Paz said nearly 35,000 people have been reported missing in Rio state alone over the past five years.
