Posters showing the eyes of pro-democracy protesters are displayed in the Admiralty district of Hong Kong. Bailiffs and police are planning to take action at protest sites in the city, as pressure grows on demonstrators to leave, the government said.

Dozens of police removed barricades from a second Hong Kong protest site, a day after a similar attempt at the city’s main occupied area largely backfired as demonstrators rebuilt and reinforced their defences.
