Inmates remain at the Tacumbu penitentiary on December 13, 2013 in Asuncion, Paraguay. Tacumbu, the most overcrowded and violent jail of Paraguay, will not receive more prisoners said Friday the Minister of Justice Sheila Abed. The prison houses 4,030 inmates, with a normal capacity estimated to 1,500.

The country’s minister of justice, Sheila Abed, said on Friday that the prison will not receive any more admissions. It currently contains 4,030 inmates, despite an intended capacity of about 1,500.
