Anke Van Dermeersch, a Belgian senator for the far-right Vlaams Belang party, arrives at court on Friday to hear a preliminary injunction brought by French shoe designer Christian Louboutin against an advertising campaign by her party. Mr Louboutin asked the court in Antwerp to stop the campaign for the Flemish group “Women against Islamisation” using his iconic stilettos for a poster denouncing Islam. The poster shows the bare legs of former Miss Belgium Ms Van Dermeersch wearing signature red-soled Louboutins as she lifts up a black dress. Read more
