Food Bank SOS distributes food, including produce that would have otherwise gone to waste, to charities such as the Camillian Mission. Cutting the amount of food that goes to waste is the theme of this year’s World Environment Day on Wednesday. The UN Food and Agriculture Organisation estimates that about a third of all the food produced for human consumption worldwide every year is wasted.
