The Vaxholm Boys’ Choir follows Sara Ringkrans into the Nave of York Minster as part of the Sankta Lucia Festival of Light, a candlelit procession and carol service based on the Swedish Lucia celebration. The festival marks the feast of St Lucy, a young Sicilian girl who died a martyr in the early fourth century. The service is a first for York Minster and is held in partnership with York Anglo-Scandinavian Society.
