Today on More or Less
We ask what a dollar a day really means (more on that here), whether we should pay any attention to dietary advice aimed at preventing cancer, and news that one of the world’s leading cryptographers thinks that the world’s encryption systems - which he developed - may not work. As always, details and podcast to appear here shortly; broadcast 4.30pm GMT on Radio 4.

Hi I live in a 3rd world city, and in here, everyone shares the limited space of the road, that includes, private cars and public vehicles such as pedicabs (essentially a bike with a cabin for passenger), horsedrawn carriages.
I have mixed feelings on sharing these sort of transportations. On one hand i find their existence as most uneconomical mode of transport, not only is the fare as much as four times more expensive than say a bus, it can also carry less passenger with maximum of 4 persons per trip. Not only that they normally clog the streets and slows down other automobiles. as well as since they don’t require any license to drive, they are reckless with the traffic. (overtaking cars when traffic, counterflowing etc) on the other hand, the drivers are of the lower sector of society hence, they are either drivers or jobless. At least this way, it is an informal way of passing extra money to the poor, which they spend on essentials. Otherwise, they might resort to begging for money or worst crimes.
which is right? your opinion may be passed on to the city government for future reference.
Thank you so much,
Avid fan Terrence
