The Times (Mike Wade and Tom Baldwin) revealed this morning that Brown’s parting gift from the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh was signed photographs of the royal couple in leather frames bought from Smythson: “The Mayfair store that employs Samantha Cameron as its creative director“. The scoop is buried at the bottom of page 15 in today’s edition, if you missed it.
Mrs Cameron, who is pregnant, quit her job at Smythson today.
